Product Description
Oxbow Essentials Chinchilla Food is a complete, uniform pellet diet formulated for chinchillas. High-fiber, protein-rich alfalfa meal is the first ingredient, while soybean hulls, soybean meal, and wheat middlings contribute fiber, protein, and energy. Antioxidants and prebiotics help support whole-body health, and the food provides daily recommended vitamins and minerals when fed according to the package guidelines.
For young chinchillas, feed free-choice with free-choice grass hay and alfalfa. For adult chinchillas, feed 1/8 to 1/4 cup daily with free-choice grass hay; offer alfalfa hay only as an occasional treat. Transition gradually over four weeks by progressively increasing the proportion of the new food.
