Product Description
The FURminator Undercoat deShedding Tool for Dogs in the large, short-hair size is designed for dogs weighing approximately 51 to 90 pounds. Its 4-inch stainless-steel deShedding edge reaches beneath the short topcoat to remove loose undercoat hair without damaging the topcoat or cutting the skin when used as directed.
The curved edge and Skin Guard design conform to your dog’s natural contours and help prevent the tool from digging into the skin. An ergonomic handle provides a comfortable grip, while the FURejector button releases collected hair from the tool.
Use the tool on a completely dry coat. Before grooming, inspect your dog for sores, bruises, mats, tangles, or skin conditions. Remove mats and tangles with an appropriate grooming tool, then gently stroke the deShedding tool in the direction of hair growth. Use extra care around the stomach, legs, genitals, and anus, and avoid excessive pressure or repeated strokes over one area. For best results, use once or twice weekly for 10 to 20 minutes per session. Do not use on non-shedding breeds or pets with particularly sensitive skin without consulting a veterinarian.
